1998年12月 6-9 單身類型、社會支持與心理健康之分析研究

本研究旨在瞭解超過適婚年齡，且從未結婚單身者，並依據Stein之分類架構，將單身者區分為矛盾型、決心型、希望型與悔恨型﹔ 另將目前擁有親密伴侶的單身者區分為伴侶型。藉此探討不同背景變項、不同單身類型，其社會支持知覺與其心理健康之關係。以方便取樣抽樣247位有效樣本作為研究對象。研究者根據受訪者本在「單身取向問卷」、「社會支持問卷」、「心理幸褔滿足感量表」的填答內容，進行統計分析。
在單身類型的分佈上，以希望型與伴侶型最多，隨年齡增加，各類型的分佈較平均。單身者的社會支持知覺，會因教育程度不同而有差異﹔而且家人此一支持網絡的重要性甚於朋友支持網絡。而單身者的心理健康情形， 會因性別、年齡不同而有所差異。
另外，本研究亦初步驗証，單身者因為維持單身的動機與態度不同，確能影響其心理健康與生活適應，在各類型中，悔恨型單身者是適應較差的族群，研究者依據研究結果加以討論， 並提供若干建議，作為參考依據。
