生涯定位是個人自我概念中,其所欲實現的需求、動機與價值統整的總合體,其內涵除融合傳統的工作價值觀或工作動機外,再加上自我知覺的能力,揉和外在生涯與內在生涯種種的考慮,綜合統整所構成的生涯自我觀,在發展過程中,會引導並限制一個人未來的生涯抉擇。
本研究採取資料搜集、訪談等方式,設計生涯定位量表,藉以評量高中生之生涯定位情形。量表編製過程依一般心理測驗編制原則,經生涯訪談、題目編擬、量表預試、題目分析等階段,編定正式題本,含68題四點量表型式之題目。以最大變異數分析法取得八個因素(佔總變異43.5%),分別為專業、諧和、領導管理、自主、人際關係、地位聲望、挑戰、及自我實現。量表內部一致性係數在.584-.904之間,間隔三至五週之重測信度在.568-.865之間;另與興趣量表及人格測驗得分之間顯示有意義之關連。本研究亦建立高一學生之常模,可供高中資優學生生涯輔導使用。
