2006年03月 19-5 父親派外對家庭的影響－從成年前期學生的回溯經驗中探討

本研究目的欲瞭解從孩子的角度所知覺父親派外對家庭影響的內涵。本研究採用質性研究法，訪談五位成年前期學生的受訪者，其研究發現如下：
當孩子年齡愈小時，分離焦慮愈為濃厚，不了解為何父親不在家，渴望父親常在家。當孩子年齡漸長時，父親不在家，感覺較輕鬆，但也開始會擔心父親在外地的安危。而當孩子在大學時期，較能適應此分離的情況，同時也較能體會父親派外的必要性及好處。
在父親派外期間，父子（女）關係通常較母子（女）疏遠。母親常成為家中情感聯繫中心以及父子（女）間的溝通橋樑；較年長的孩子，常有機會成為「親職化小孩」（parental child），協助媽媽分擔家務工作，照顧年幼的弟妹或是成為媽媽在情感上傾訴或是商量事情的對象。除了親子系統產生改變外，父母的婚姻系統及整個家庭系統方面也都有可能產生變化。研究者針對研究發現作討論，並對父親派外的家庭提出建議。
